May Jesus Christ, who came to call us into the loving compassion of God the Father, be with you!

I wish to share three things with you today:

1) We celebrate the feast of our patron Saint Cyprian today.  What a visionary priest he was as he preached and demonstrated the spirit of "Servant Leader."  His theme of Unity and Faith are virtues that will assist us on our journey to the eternal kingdom.  Let us pray through the intercession of St. Cyprian that he will continue to watch over us and intercede for our parish and family.

2) In conjunction with the Feast of Saint Cyprian, we celebrate our Forty Hours of Eucharistic Devotion.  This is a great time for us to pause for a moment, sit still and "be" in the presence of Jesus Christ.  From this afternoon at 3 pm, until Tuesday night, the monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament, will be on the altar.  Take the time to come to church and pray before the Blessed Sacrament.  Pray for your special intentions.

3) We reflect on the readings given to us today.  As St. Cyprian preached about being one with Jesus, he wanted also, that people would always experience Jesus' reconciling love for us.  Each of us, at one point or another along our journey of faith, feels lost in our sinfulness.  How wonderful it is to hear parables like those we heard today: the lost coin, the lost sheep and the prodigal son.  We discover that God is always ready to call us back when we are lost.

May we find encouragement and comfort in these saving words!
