May Jesus Christ, the reason for the season, fill you with grace and hope!

Today, the Catholic Chiurch begins a new liturgical year with the season of Advent.  Advent reminds us of two things: a season to prepare us for Christmas when Christ's first coming to us is remembered and as a season when that remembrance directs our minds and hearts to await Christ's Second Coming at the end of time.  Advent is thus a period for devotion and joyful expectation.

May we use this season of Advent as a time for deeper prayer and meditation; an opportunity to take advantage of the Sacrament of Confession;a time for demonstrating your stewardship of time, talent and treasure.

Let us also pray for our families, for our parishioners, and those struggling with their faith.

May this season of Advent fill you with grace and blessings.
