May Jesus Christ, who calls us out of darkness into his wonderful light, encourage and strengthen you!

We continue to hear from powerful scriptures during this season.  These scripture readings open our minds and fill our heart with grace, comfort, and compassion.  They challenge us to always be in right relationship with our God.

The scriptures today focus on darkness and light.  There is a frightening amount of darkness in the world today.  But the Gospel of today’s Mass contains the wonderful words of Christ:  “I am the light of the world.”  Christ is indeed the light of the world in our lives.”  Only He can lead us from darkness to light, from despair to hope, from disappointment to faith and trust.

Let us reflect for a moment on how much we need His light, guidance, and shepherding for our own lives and for the world. 

Trusting in Christ, may we always walk in His light.
