May Jesus Christ, the searcher of hearts, calling us to a life of love for one another, be with you!

How challenging are the readings offered to us today!  They speak to us about making the right choices in our lives.  God has a plan for each of us.  That plan is to acquire eternal life and to experience the blessings and joys of the kingdom of heaven.

However, sometimes we ignore God's plan and rely on our own choices.  We want to map out our own lives instead of conforming to God's will.  Some people love the passive life, or the drama life, or the passive-aggressive life, or the "get over on others" life.  Others choose to be of service, offering their gifts  of time, talent and treasure.

While we grow through the choices we make, whether appropriate or inappropriate, the challenge for us is to be about Jesus Christ.  Let us pray for the wisdom to make appropriate choices in our lives and ask God to help us to conform our lives to His.

May the choices we make in our lives be made with Christ in mind.
