Pastor's Message for April 18, 2010

May Jesus Christ, who saved us by his love, be with you!

Sometiimes when we make preparations for a big event, detailed planning takes time and effort. When the big event happens, there is joy and celebration.

It is the same with our spiritual lives.  During the season of Lent, we were preparing ourselves spiritually for that great day, Easter. Our detailed planning included prayer, fasting, almsgiving, works of charity and penance.

The good thing about Easter is that we celebrate for fifty days.  We celebrate Jesus' love for us and the covenant made with God the Father and with us.

It is impossible not to celebrate this great feast.  While filled with joy and the presence of the Holy Spirit, we should feel compelled to share our joy with others.  When we do this, we become Christ's witnesses, ambassadors, and disciples.  Our witness to others should reveal how great Jesus is to us through all the things he does for us.

I'm gonna be a witness for him, witness, witness.

Let us never forget how good God is to us, in good times and in our bad times. "God is good - all the time!"
