Once again, a dark cloud looms over the Archdiocese of Philadelphia regarding the reports of sexual abuse by a few priests. While the grand jury report is disturbing and the alleged actions of those FEW priests are appalling, I strongly encourage everyone to hold onto your faith, and keep the Archdiocese in your prayers. The actions mentioned, pertain to only a few priests. There are many, many priests who remain faithful to their vocation, ministering the sacraments and proclaiming God's message with a clear conscience.
I also empathize with our lay Catholics who might be attacked by others because of their religion. My prayers are with you.
Although this disgusting act is discovered in many professions and other religions, we need to protect our children from this violent crime, and all violent crimes.
Please join me in prayer that our Catholic Church will make it right, and continue to minister to God's people as God wants it to minister.
