Series on Future New Saints

Today, we honor Mother Mary Elizabeth Lange, foundress of the Oblate Sisters of Providence, Baltimore Maryland.  This was the first order for Black women, in the world! The sisters still continue the work begun by Mother Lange, in 1832. In addition to their work in the U. S., they minister in Costa Rica. To be beatified, it must be proved that the intercession of Mother Lange caused a miraculous cure. To be called SAINT, 2 miraculous cures must take place.   Mother Lange's prayer was always:

"Our sole wish is to do the will of God!"
